Ananta Vasudeva Temple

Ananta Vasudeva Temple is situated in the city of Bhubaneswar. It is a Vaishnav temple, built in the thirteenth century. Idols of Lord Krishna, Lord Balaram and Goddess Subhadra are worshiped here. The idol of Lord Balaram is over headed by a seven hooded serpent and the idol of Lord Krishna holds a mace and a conch. The western side of the temple lies near the bank of Bindu Sagar Lake. Every year thousands of pilgrims visit this place to pay homage to the deities. The major festival of this temple is Janmastami. Other nearby temples of this place include Lingaraj Temple, Rajarani Temple, Parasurameswar Temple and Mukteswar Temple. Bhubaneswar, being the capital, is the major center of Odisha and connects to all major cites through road and railway.
